Well looks like I wont get my new front coils installed in time for the Mounds trip...oh well.
I picked up 2 more pairs of lights, one for the roof rack facing rear and one set to be bolted to my rock sliders facing the ground.
Sliders are all mocked up tonite and I will weld em up in the morning.
I picked up a small 10" electric fan to mount right to my trans cooler also.
I also was doing some brain storming on another possible project if I could get some outseide help from somebody here.......PM sent

OK Chad go get your dad.....the sliders are complete!
Got sliders all welded up today.I have some lites I want to mount to them also but ran out of modivation.
And I mounted some rear facing 55w Pilot lites. There wasnt enough room to fit them under my roof rack.
Now I cant wait to hit The Mounds on Sunday!!

You should see the front springs now tho. I think the bumper and winch finally did them in too. Looks like the top 3-4 coils are collapsed on each other now and the camber is WAY off now. Looks like Monday or Tuesday I will be putting in my 6.5" XJ Skyjacker coils. I cant wait to see how it rides going from wore out 400lb coils to some flexy 240lb coils!

Front end is almost done now.
Picked up some Skyjacker Softride 6" coils for a Jeep XJ.
I had to get new Jeep spring isolator pads since the XJ coils are not wound as tight on the bottom as a RBV coil.
Then I had to use some 1 1/2" plumbing fittings to make a new spring seat.
Here is how the new seat works without the pad installed yet.
And with the pads.
I also had to take the bottom plate that holds the bottom of the coil in place and build up its O.D. a bit with a few passes of my welder since it would pull right thru the bottom coil. Now the bottom is retained like the factory setup. For the top I took a 5/8 cable clamp and cut it into a J hook and then drilled a hole in the coil bucket for a solid way the make sure the top of the coil doesnt pop out at full droop.
Since these were 6" springs I had to cut 2 coils off to get the ride heigth where I wanted it.Nice thing is they sell different size isolator pads that I can use to fine tune the ride heigth in the future if I wish.
Going to get it aligned in a few and I will have them install my 4" drop pitman arm since my puller doesnt fit up into the frame for some reason.
I drove it around the block and holy **** does it ride soft now! Most people prlly wouldnt like it but I do. Its going flex alot better now. Next I will have to get longer shocks because the Duffs are about 1.5" to short to get full droop.

I added a small 10" fan mounted behind my trans cooler to help keep the trans cool when the going gets slow.Helped get engine temps down too.I also put a 180 t-stat in.
I also had a local shop build me a 100 amp altenator with a really small pulley from a Caddy to help the charging system keep up with all the lights and winch.

Well with the temp drop the last couple days its been running fine but once it warms up again we will see if this fixes the high temps.Im sure it will.I also have a 14" fan from a ZJ to try if this dont work.
The only thing limiting me now is my shock length, Here is a full stuff.
And this is with the shocks maxed out.I can get about another 1.5" of droop when I get different shocks.
We aint talking SAS flex but for a TTB thats not too bad.
