Like everyone else is saying good start! You for sure should do the front end conversion and also getting a cheap paint job to fix up some spots would be good as well as replacing the rear lights with a newer style light and getting some new stock wheels and tires that aren't base model.

I am going to paint it as soon as the humidity drops. Stock wheels are fine. I have always liked the looks of them, on these little trucks.

Its got alot of work infront of it, and I sure miss my old truck.

95000 at time of purchase.

I find it very odd, but there is no rust, anywhere...period. Very unusual.
The frame rails, and everything appear to have a black coating on them...and to be honest, it appears factory:)))

The motor is sound, and it shifts out great. Getting ready to pull the dash to change blend door, and core.

Its got the 2.5 in it.

I wish it had the 2.3, but the point five, seems to have a little more umph!

Its getting around 23 mpg mixed driving.

Ive got to get it all done soon, getting ready to take on a 72 hour week job at a chicken processing plant.

Thanks guys.

Btw, its got some really neat stuff on it.

Including LED bulbs in the rear, and a pulsator that causes the break lights to blink momentarily upon tapping them.

Its also got some kind of doo-witchy that beeps when you have it in reverse.

It was a meter reader truck, and i believe both were safety features installed by the fleet owner.

Hell yeah man, glad your excited! Looks like really clean and I like it personally! And I like the whole safety beacon sound when you back up, or whatever it's called. Annoy the neighbors haha, just don't drive up to your deer stand and have to put it in reverse in any way shape or form lol.

Check out Dangerranger01's truck...his started out just like yours did(cept he started with an 01 XL). Grab yourself some reg cab Edge 60/40 seats, get some chrome or paint on them bumpers, throw on the 'styled' manual mirrors and ditch those flags, get yourself a tach cluster with white faces from a explorer or silver faces from an 03 XLT ranger....good start to a lil project. I love the growl the Lima engines have(2.3/2.5).....but those duratech 2.3's are screamers compared to the 2.5's.

btw....lay off on the caps...jeeeeeze. lol.
