Project: IronHide
This will be the Build thread for my F-250. Progress will be a little slow until later in the spring. Basically I'm going for a beefy blacked out rig, with some sheds of dark grey/silver thrown in for color
Plans:
- 35x14.5x17 BFG Project Tires. Not tow tires but thats why I'll have another set
- 17" KMC XD Strike wheels (so far I think)
- Custom Front and Rear Bumpers
- Rock slider/mini step bars snugged up to cab
- 6-7" Single black chrome stack (still a maybe)
- TS six-position chip tuned by tony wildman or beans etc.
- Leveling kit for the front for now, maybe get into more serious coil or coilover conversion later on
- Tint
Pic of it so far:
Pic of the Tires:
I'll get more up as I can get some work started on it!

Single or dule stacks are so 2007. haha No but really. They might look cool, but on a shortbed you might as well have no room in the bed at all. lol I love the way shortbeds look but you gotta have as much room as you can if you have a truck that's a shortbed. Even if it is on a 3/4 ton truck that's wide...It's a diesel. So It's still meant to be a work truck. A stack would just leave a hole in your bed for little things to fall out and on to the ground. Or burn/melt anything that gets close enough to it...Plus they are right...Blowing black smoke into a car/It's general direction is pretty funny. UNLESS I'm in the little car. Also as long as you don't have a cop see you. Or worse...A diesel inspector. Ouch!
Other than that, it sounds like some good plans for the truck.

The problem I'm running into is finding a good wheel to fit my 14.5" wide tires. You can't really get a 17" wheel in anything higher than a 9" wide. I'm not sure thats going to be safe or not, I know some guys have but I usually don't go over 4" difference between them. I'm sure I'll be OK I just can't get crazy whith airing down and I'll have to get a good offset so the ballooning of the sidewalls won't rub my leafs.
