90 Bronco II - Woods Beater Project

This is my little project that ive been slowly workin on. What I started with was a 1990 bronco II eddie b edition 5-speed. It was pretty nice almost felt bad tiring it apart. Pretty much every thing works including the power lumbar lol.

This is what i have now:

dana 35 front - 5:13 gears with locker, jeep hubs and snap rings
8.8 31 spline rear - 5:13 gears locker, warn diff guard
super runner steering
custom longarms 6" lift coils and drop brackets
explorer leafs and 3" lift blocks
35" BFG MTs on 15x10 4.5 x 5 wheels
S.S. extended brake lines
skyjacker shocks and drop pitman arm (in the mail)

I still need an explorer front driveshaft to shorten for the rear of the bronco. Also need to fix the "push and pray" t-case. Other than that it will be ready for the woods.

some progress today..

i took apart the t-case motor to find that the little rubber stopper for the gear was broken apart. So i took a snip of rubber hose and stuck it on. Regreased everything and slapped it back together. Thats all it was and now it works!

For your own safety. Go buy some quality jack stands and get rid of the cinder-blocks.

I have no idea on the brake lines. I got almost all my parts used.

The only new parts I got are the shocks and pitman arm which came in the mail today. Its lookin like I could have this on the road in the next couple of weeks!!! All need now is a driveshaft...

It sucks. It's a piece of junk. Go ahead and send it to me once you're done working on it!

some progress...

Got the steering system done. That pitman arm put a hell of a fight!

the rear is bolted in but the perches aren't welded yet. Taking it to a friend to have that done.

next up is the brake lines.

it sits alittle low in the back but will work for now.

I know I'm slakin. I got alot of other crap going on. I got the brakes done last weekend. I ended up replacing all the brake lines in the front. In the process I put a crack in a rusty power steering line. Im going to JB weld it for now and concentrate on other stuff. I got a drive shaft from the front of an early exploder and need to have that cut down about an inch 1 or 2. Maybe the next pics will be of it on 35s.

Well I just went and replaced the power steering line so thats done. Took it for a slow test drive to test the brakes. With little 27" tires and 5.13 gears it sure was weird driving. I got well into 3rd and I think i was going 30 mph lol. I couldn't doing anything to crazy since i only have FWD at the moment. Brakes work OK but id like them to be better. I got that RABS valve which I think is preventing me from being able to bleed the rear brakes.

yep if you have RABS or 4WABS you have to take it to ford in order to get the RABS valve to self bleed, it's bled electronically via PCM and you have to have the software to turn on the valve to get it to bleed. I just went through this with my 99, otherwise you will never get all of the air out and they (brakes) will not perform like they are supposed to.
