swicks motor swap

old motor was giving me lots of problems like multiple miss fire cods every two weeks, candy smelling exhaust, and it had hydro carbon in the anti-freeze plus it had over 200,000 miles on it. i picked up a new to me motor with 115,000 miles on it for 200 bucks. it was in an accident head on with a tree.

pulling the new motor out of its old home. damaged items on it were fan, fan clutch, and alternator.

how you liking the front end?

if you have not done it yet, gusset the upper control arms and put some weld washers around the lower mounting points. and i would build a brace to connect the drivers side to the passenger side to prevent the lower arm pockets from bending in or back.

the front end works and performs like a charm. thank you for selling it to me. im also sad that with me buying it from you, you had nowhere to go with your project but forward. sad to see that you sold your ranger but it is better to be out of debt then in it.

there are plans to gusset the uppers and lowers and install my new 2.0x8" shocks to replace the ones that are on the truck. but at this point every thing is on hold because of this motor.

just put the motor to the test. i drove the truck from fresno to chico, ca within 5 hours. i was running it at 65 70 all the way and got it up to 85 a couple times. got to say it runs like a striped *** ape.

i have notice since the install there is some valve train noise. but every ovh has that to some degree. and i still can not figure out why there is no power to the compressor.
