1999 Ranger 5.0 V8

It saddens me to let it go, but my family has grown and it's time. I did this swap a few years back and it's been a fantastic truck. Started out as a 2wd manual trans 2.5L and it's now a 5.0 Auto. The engine is out of an explorer and has the GTP heads. The trans was 4wd and I converted it to 2wd when I rebuilt it. It shifts perfectly and the oil is still clean as new. Rear end is a Ford 8.8 and the front springs are spaced to level out the extra engine weight. Brand new upper and lower ball joints, head lights, u joint, and Kenwood Bluetooth stereo. I have a new ac compressor and drier that I have not installed yet, the ac was working fine until the compressor started leaking. I had an engine driven air compressor and tank set-up running rear air springs but removed everything. I was a traveling mechanic and could run an air impact off it for short term use. The bags and torque arms could be reinstalled and are included. If you really want the pneumatic components let me know, it's it's own animal. The pictures show the body condition, however It is covered in pollen from being parked all spring. My registration is expired so I cannot drive it to the car wash. I was last driving it in the fall 2019 when I picked up a bigger vehicle for the fam. The paint can use some love, but it's still solid. I bought the truck down south and it's only seen a handful of winters. I built a custom center console that has a very soft arm cushion on the lid and it is also a subwoofer box for a single rear-facing 10" (not included). All the wiring is still installed. Truck has remote start as well. The tow hitch is solid and so is the trailer plug/wiring, I did pull the brake controller though.

The good:
New muffler and tail pipe, headlights, ac compressor, stereo, ball joints, solid body and frame.

The bad:
It's developed an exhaust leak around one of the manifolds, body starting to rust, needs tune-up, needs paint work if you want it to last, brakes have surface rust from sitting but could be fine yet.

Anyone who's done or researched a swap knows that you can't get everything perfect. There's probably a few things I've long forgotten about an no longer notice about it. For example, I never finished the wiring to the rear speakers or door switch. This never bothered me, but can be finished. There's dealership shop manuals for the Ranger and Explorer included so you'll always be able to improve, repair, modify etc.

Overall it's a rough gem that needs cleaned up, I'd love to see someone spruce it up and enjoy it as much as I have. Location is Alpena, MI 49707.

Disclaimers:
-Swap vehicles can be dangerous as they are typically modified to produce more power. Weight distribution, handling, safety devices, and overall design may be affected. It is up to the driver to practice safe driving habits, use common sense, and know the vehicles limitations.
-MIL light IS on but does not indicate on the dash. The code was for EVAP solenoid that I never diagnosed. Again, these are things that can be fixed but never bothered me enough to do so.
