Ranger-Forums is not responsible for any of the selling, buying, or trading that takes place on this site. Members should be cautious about purchasing items online and should always go about any kind of online purchase with a higher level of caution than you would in the regular world. Paypal(www.paypal.com) is a safe way to transfer money. Mailing cash is never a smart idea. Checks, money orders, or cashiers checks are the best, as they are traceable in the even of a fraudulant sale. If you are hesitant about something someone is selling, ask for pictures and as much info as you can get. Try and get contact information from the member that you can verify before the sale (ie: phone number, email address, etc). These are just a few tips i can think of to help make buying, selling, or trading online safer.
Also, if you feel that a member falsely advertised something as being more or better than it actually is, do not post the information publicly. Contact the person first and try to resolve the problem. If that doesn't help, contact an administrator if you need further assistance. We don't want to see posts about "so and so said that his OHC was functional and it wasn't. never buy from him!!!!". that kind of thing is not welcome and should be handled privately. If we feel the board should be notified of a shady seller, one of the admins will make a topic about it.
Fell free to post any other tips you believe are pertinent to this topic of discussion...
