1995 single piece drive shaft swap
1995 single piece drive shaft swap
I have a 95 with a extended cab, 6ft bed (125 WB) manual.
my carrier bearing went out over the weekend and the cheapest one i can find is $180 but I found a single piece newer drive shaft for cheaper then that.
Mine is lifted on 31x10.5's and I don't want to deal with needed to replace these again and thought it would be better to do a single piece now.
I don't know what size my driveshaft is and I haven't been able to find anything in other forums about it. does anyone know the answer before I have to dig into it?

Keep in mind that manual and auto driveshafts are different. They don't interchange since the manual transmissions are shorter than the automatic and therefore require a longer driveshaft.
Just how much lift do you have? Anything to big and the pinion yoke angle on the 1 piece driveshaft may be too much and start destroying U joints along with a bad vibration. Read this page carefully: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...-you-want-one/
Otherwise, just find a driveshaft from a 98+ Ranger which is a 1 piece that is also extended cab with manual and 2WD or 4WD (must match also).
I just recycled a perfectly good carrier bearing :(
