Hey I use 56K at home but only because there is nothing else available becasue i live in BFE, but trust me it is not by choice that i do not have DSL or cable because i would KILL for it. I had it when i live in the city but i moved to the county and now i have no choice but 56K.

Yeah, lotta people live in the sticks and are forced to use it. Drives some close friends of ours nuts, as they're stuck with 56k, and really would love broadband (won't do satellite though).
And I must be getting old, cause I remember when 9600 and 14.4k were the absolute fastest speeds you can get. Hell, 2400 was only just starting to become slow back then..
