I was just looking at it and it said the largest it could be was 144x168. It use to be 150x300 why did that change?

Mike -- apparently the designer of the new layout couldn't figure out how to make the 150x300 avatars fit, so the contributor size was hacked down to 144x168.

(yeah, I know, it doesn't make a whole heck of a lot of sense to me, either -- but then I've only been a software engineer for a couple dozen years or so...)

Yeah the new size is sooooo much better with the new style. If you aren't trying the new style, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Ranger-2009 instead of xtreem style.

You're not going to re-contribute?

I bet there will be a lot of people that don't re-contribute with the changes being made around here.

Meh, I don't worry about the changes. As for the new style, I didn't like it so I just switched back over. Problem solved.

Eventually, the 150x300 will be abolished.

If you became a contributer, you didn't pay to get a larger avatar, you paid to support the site and reap the benefits that come with contributing to the site, a larger avatar is one of them. Format changed, size was bumped down, IMO, deal with it. It is what it is.

No offense but how do you know what his intentions were when he decided to contribute? Maybe he did contribute just for the larger avatar. I know it was a huge factor in me deciding to contribute.

i know i will think twice about it next time. you would think that the opinions of the members that contribute part of there paychecks to this site would have there opinions valued a little bit. yeah i contributed because i think this is a great site, but the little perks are nice. now with this," they are small now deal with it" attitude towards the ones giving there money to support this site is pretty lame. just my 2 cents

the only reason i contributed was for the bigger avatar.. all the ones that were big and havent been changed like mine, are still big in the original view.

i dont plan on paying again either.

I really only contributed for the larger PM box and bigger avatar. I'll pay again just because I want to see this site continue without having to deal with slow server BS
