hello from northern wisconsin
new to forum, have been driving rangers since 1984. i know some basic stuff but not a lot. currently driving 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0. winter isn't far off, i can't decide between frost plug heater or lower hose heater please give opinions. thanks for your time.
Freeze plug heaters rarely fail and can last several years, they do a decent job of keeping the block warm.
Heater hose heaters usually have a pump in them and circulate the warm water, which can sometimes keep your windshield defrosted and block warm, also a lot easier to install.
