I thought the point of being a contributor was to get rid of all the ads?

The ad removing applies to all 3rd party. In house ads obviously dont get blocked since its the forum itself trying to relay a message. For instance, MiataTurbo where i admin is putting on a starcraft2 contest with prizes over $500 so I made a banner and invited RF to participate. 468x60 site specific sponsors also remain in the top right.

All the intrusive 3rd party stuff gets nuked though.
