i was looking around on a few different sites today, looking at their forums, and i noticed something in common with each one of them. there seems to be no formal "website concierge," if you will. it's sort of left up to the new member to post in the "introduce yourself" thread, and meet people and go on from there (while slowly learning tid-bits of info about the site, it's history, it's closer members, etc...)

anyway, i was thinking of maybe adding a "Contacts" link in the menu bar, or something of the sort. in it would maybe be a simple Welcome from the site, explaining it's history in breif, along with a list of the moderators, their member names, and their real names (first names, last names, whatever, just so its a little more personal). i know we have a rules page, but i know it's over looked alot when people join the site.

anyways, i dunno, i figured some sort of directory of who's-who for the site admins and moderators might be nice to have, and would look organized. this way, people know for certain who to go to for site related help.

we could have a meet the mods section!!

 

that would be pretty much it. that way people would know who to turn to if things got out of hand, or if they needed help with threads, or whatever. there's a handful of mod's here on the site, but i dont think everyone knows it.. i assumme there's maybe like 2 or 3 mods that get swamped with pm's all the time with all sorts of stuff.. i figure this will help spread out the "stuff" a little better for the mods

i think you misread what i said.. if we had something like that, we'd be the only forum with something like that.
