Am I not aloud to upload a GIF or PNG with transparencies or do I have to just put the blue background color in? And my picture is in the size limits and file size limits and I get a message saying Error could not upload file or something like that.

 

When you are a contributor you can use larger files.

 

ur 110x110.. ur not using a 300x150 are u?

 

The files I've tried to uploaded have been in JPEG, GIF and PNG and nothing has worked, the size of the image it's self is 110 x 110 and the file size is like 1.897KB..

I tried changing my profile pic the other day, it wouldn't let me do that either... I shrunk the dimensions and file size to well below the requirements and it never let me upload.

 

may be locked due to those who swapped avatars around...

I have never scaled down images, just uploaded full size and it was automatically scaled down to the appropriate size.

 

any reason why this hasnt been looked into?
