ok I am sick of the crap from the classifieds being closed...

so its closed because of two or three idiots...

ban the losers that mess it up and we wont have to worry about it. ban them for a month. or whatever you choose, but closing the whole section is stupid.

open it to contributors only, something... its retarded that they are closed.

if you keep taking everything away no one will want to be on the site, after all look at all the good people that have left or dont spend much time on here at all anymore. guess what no more visitors no more site... is that what you want?

i try to contribute everyday but i am really loosing interest in it.

this probably wont last long, but i had to throw my input in somewhere. oh if you lock edit or delete this it just proves my point even more!

btw i always think you moderators and admin do a great job, but this just really bothers me.

 

I agree completely... but this is what the mods decide so thats what happens

I wanted to put a bunch of stuff I had in the garage up for free on the site, but didnt want to get it shut down because it was a classified. Classifieds are a HUGE part of any forum, its a shame its closed.

 

more than likely this thread will be locked..but i agree why does it take a few to ruin it for everyone else on the site?

 

because they dont want to start picking out names of the people that are the problems.

its easier to just close it.

This has been covered many times, I still dont get home many times we have to say it that it wasnt closed because of 2 or 3 people. It was closed because there was ALOT of people not knowing how to behave in the classifieds. And it has been said before that the classifieds are a privelage not a right. When we, (admins/mods) figure out what to do with it, it will be fixed but untill then it is something that you guys will have to live with. And starting threads and putting stuff in your signatures about buying a selling only hurts your position.

 

I hear you guys on this issue as well... I for one have not been coming around as much either. Not just just because of the Classifieds But there are other things going on as well..

 

kinda like your gear thread Beard.....that got locked because one persone asked if you wanted to sell a part you said you had.....that is BS.......it was a freakin post......some people just want to cry and abuse what little power they have in life by locking threads...

this site has really gone down hill in the last 1-2 years......getting worse and worse everyday.....



like i have said before, the classifieds need to be moderated by ONE person and ONE person can ONLY moderate the classifieds......espically since the current mods/admin doesnt like the way the classifieds is running.......boo hoo hoo, do something about the problem atic people, dont punish everyone.....

 

that's life.

a few knuckleheads can screw everything up for the rest of the group.

self moderation AMONG MEMBERS can help to avoid a ton of problems. it's your site, too. not just the administration's.

How does it hurt our position? I have sold and bought so many things on this site and never had an issue. Actually I rarely make an issue on this site at all.

Think about classifieds make new mods, makes new friends, makes great trucks even better, brings people together (meets), etc, etc...

I could go on.

 

isnt that the point of banning or warning or something like that needs to be taking place? instead hey lets make a bigger point **** off alot of members and let the "knuckleheads" sell anything..but go to another part in the thread and stir up stuff..

 

how can anyone self moderate are you going to give post editing powers to all members? no one can control what others post......all you can say is "hey buddy don't post that".....but since members have no control over the others keyboards, self moderating is a little on the impossible side....and then if we start reporting post, mods/admin just tell us to stop complaining.........<----had that happen several times....

 

agreed... just block those people from the classifieds, it doesnt have to be a full site ban...

 

rarely do any of the moderators abuse their power, threads rarely get locked, they like to see people figure it out on their own...

Before I vent on this utter crap, let me just preface it by saying I have nothing to gain or lose on either side. I don't make the decisions. In fact, this entire rant has nothing to do with being a moderator.

Seriously, if one small piece of this entire forum being temporarily closed makes you guys this disgruntled.... If it makes you think the site is so bad... then perhaps you should move along to somewhere else. It is REALLY sad that anyone could possibly be this upset about it. I envy you all that have nothing else going on in your life allowing this to be such a big deal to you.

The forum is provided to you all for free. There are many thousands of registered users gaining a whole lot for absolutely nothing. Unlimited advice. Unlimited information. Unlimited BS'ing about things even unrelated to rangers. Unlimited everything for $0.00. Free for you and you have nothing better to do than constantly whine whine whine. Why can't I have this. Why won't the admins do this. I know how to do this better than the rest of you. This place sucks. I have 20,000 posts so I know better. This place is going down hill. I want a classified section. You are like Jason Allen. I want I want I want.

If this place is soooo horrible as you're all describing, I'd like to remind you that not only is this site free to access, it also makes you free to leave. Or you can try to hold it together while a solution is developed and get on with your lives.

And as I stated before, it is so ironic that the ones creating the biggest stink seem to be the ones that created the whole problem to begin with (I don't mean you zabeard). And as always proving once again that post count doesn't mean much.

Christian and Skot have much more tolerance for this baby whining garbage than I do, obviously. I would go down the list of ungrateful ones and just delete their accounts since they obviously are unhappy with the other 99% of the forum.
