Truck Engine Running Unevenly: 2000 Ranger

Hi All,

New to the Forum! When I am driving my 200 Ford Ranger with my foot on the gas, the truck starts to decelerate and the tachometer bounces showing it is running unevenly. The engine light has come on, but it is not consistently on. If I take my foot off the gas and then reapply pressure to the gas pedal, it will accelerate back, for a time. Then it happens again. I have replaced the Throttle Position (TP) sensor, and my mechanic has ruled out the fuel pump. No codes come up for diagnostics. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

No codes stored in the memory? Or was it just the TPS code that you fixed?

There were no codes and none stored. The TPS replacement was just a hunch.
