Thought the claimed 3-4 MPG increase was a bit ambitious, but I may still consider it if I change tire size.

I was normally getting 17-19mpg before the tuner and now I get between 20-22mpg.

Haven't been able to check fuel economy yet because I just installed the 87 tune yesterday, but I will be making a few trips out of town over the next couple of weeks to see if I improved my fuel economy any - Have already noticed that the transmission shift program feels much better.

I hate the way the tune makes the trans feel but other than that its great. You my be able to get alittle more by pulling the mechanical fan and changing when the e-fan kicks on and off.Ive been meaning to do it on mine just not sure what temps to set the e-fan at.

no mileage increase here. but it does make the truck quite a bit more responsive.

What is there to hate about it? Just seems like the factory shifting was pretty good, unless you got stuck on the wrong 5 degree angle of incline during midshift...and then it seemed like the gear change would sometimes stall out for another 1/8 mile before it finally decided to shift. Now the shifts just feel slightly firmer and has a little less gear search to deal with. At least that's the way it seems to me.

Just feels to me like the tranny is slipping, when i remove the tune it shifts fine.

Sorry to hear about that, because it seems like you're getting exactly opposite of what you should be getting. In general I always thought that tuners raise line pressures to reduce slippage.

Just to add my 2 cents, I bought a diablosport tuner for my '07 Ranger 3.0 and I have to say, I'm quite pleased with it. It definitely helped the shift pattern and the shifts are much smoother. I also feel quite a bit of response from the motor now in terms of throttle response. I also like that it reads codes and when I change tire sizes in the future I can modify the tune to address that issue.

The only mods I have are a dynomax catback exhaust and a drop in K&N filter in the stock airbox and I've seen a noticeable difference in throttle response with the tuner alone. I tried a superchips tuner a couple of years ago and I absolutely hated it.

Wasn't too interested in their tuning, but did like the DLC covers.
