Icon14 LaSota Racing Tunes

I recently got a Xcal 2 and decided to go with Don at LaSota Racing.

I cannot be more happy with the tune and his customer service. I ordered a 91 performance tune and through all the emails he answered all the questions I had and answerd them FAST!

When I sent him the money for the tune via paypal I had the tune within 2 hours and it was his day off. That being said that goes along ways.

From talking to Rich his tunes are on par with Doug at Bamachips. His customer service is what sold me.

Just wanted to give a thumbs up for a job well done.

If you are looking for a tune give Don at LaSota Racing a look.

So you just bought the one instead of three?

Yup, just 1 tune for now.

I am convinced that torque tunes are not really what they seem.

I might go ahead and get an 87 performance or 87 MPG in the future but I am pretty happy with just one tune as of right now.

What do you mean about the torque tunes? I'm running a 91 torque tune right now and I love it. I have a day off tomorrow so I may have to try out the 91 performance and see how that goes.

By looking at the graphs that Fred emailed me and talking to Don LaSota and Rich Torque tunes dont really add any torque. They just give the torque sooner... So you really you arent gaining anything you are just able to access what you already have (TQ) sooner.

I am no expert but thats what I took away from it.

Well on our trucks we need that down low torque. That's where the SOHC's are lacking.

No I understand what you're saying and what they mean by it. Just putting it out there that our motors tend to lack in the low end department.

By the Torque coming in SOONER means you can use the lower end power for getting started, getting off the line so to speak.
You get more torque earlier in the rpm ranger so in a sense you get more torque and you get where you need it for street or trail.
It sounds like a good tune program.
