Are you a CPF'er?
Thanks! And, yes, to both questions.

People collect lots of stuff you'd never really think of.

This is *my* definition. I am amazed at some of the things I've read there.

Your definition is pretty much spot on. I rarely frequent that forum anymore. It was a hobby that got way too expensive, way too fast (I still have most of the lights). Although I guess I could say the same thing about my Ranger.

I’ve had mine for years and the outer body is in good shape; I am going to try the new ion bulbs to see if the output is any better than the older Krypton but we will see.
I ordered new o-rings and switch seal and a glass breaker end and when they come in I will rebuild the old guy.

Now if someone could just figure out I can do that to myself…

Just a note to all, if you are thinking of buying the Glass Breaker end get this one, ESD Products XcapeCap BLACK Maglite Tail Cap for D-Cell and Rechargeable $23.99 - Buy Discount Maglight at Maglite Sales; it has a hardened tip and will wear better if not at all.

See KLC’ s Post, XCapeCap Glass-Breaker Tailcaps and Custom Bezels. Special New Year Promotion. - CPFMarketPlace.

Remember the tip is the important part…

It hurts if you poke someone with it? Really, the best I can say that it's good for is that you can turn the light one and stand it up on its face and light is able to escape, whereas, with the stock facecap, no light will get out if you stand it up that way. Plus, it looks pretty neat :)

Also, I have a few of the XcapeCap tail-caps in stock now in Black, Silver and Red - as well as Black D-cell Talons (Facecaps/Bezels). Here's a link.
