Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit/ Pace Edwards tonneau company

I bought my Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit tonneau about 2 years ago. The guy I bought it from, had it on for 3 weeks, but sold his truck. It was still "brand new" and nothing was wrong with it, and still under Pace Edwards warranty. I had a professional Pace Edwards dealer put it in, and check for any damage. Nothing he said it was perfect. I babied the tonneau, and spoke highly of it...

until...

I had to start re-installing the tonneau every month. Why? The tonneau kept breaking. I sourced the problem, and figured out that I needed spacers. I put 1" spacers on EACH side. That still wasn't enough. I finally went to 1.5" spacers on each side, like they told me to do when I called Pace.

The tonneau looked great, but it was a peice. I babied the tonneau and did everything Pace reccomended.

2 years later. The thing is in my garage, because all of the weather stripping fell off, the canister to roll it into wouldn't roll back, kept falling apart, etc.etc.etc.

I contacted Pace many time, only to get negative feedback. I tried workling with the company top get simple fixes, which I told them I would pay for. They declined to even help with that.

Pace Edwards does not deserve any more buinsess. They were rude to me when I called, did not offer help, and the product wasn't worth the material it was made out of.

Stay away from Pace Edwards.

The reviews I have read on pace edwards. tonneaus is pretty much on par with what you described. The only roll top tonneau I have found that could be worth while is from bak industries.

Harry, Yeah, I read a lot of good reviews before I got the thing. Turns out, it was a POS.

Sorry to hear that Dane, you would think they would want to work with you.

On the flip side, I've always had good luck with Fold-a-cover. They sent me out some free locks when one of mine jammed, and you can order any part of their covers off the web site. Great people!
