Anyone tried one of these cheap front end kits from 1a,Detroit axel,or AM? The whole kit is cheaper then 1 control arm from most places.I wonder if the quality is at least as good as say autozone or O'Rileys?

 

If a part has a warranty and your labor is not expensive to you, everyone values their time differently, lol, then cheaper parts are OK, if something breaks get another under warranty.

But no I haven't used those kits before.

OEM or Dealer parts are usually more expensive because of the paper trail demanded by Ford, all parts need documentation, for raw materials, who, when and where it was assembled/made, and of course that it was tested and passed specification.

Auto parts stores sell parts that meet specs, and will carry those parts unless they start getting returns/warranty issues, they want repeat business so will tend to drop parts that start getting higher returns, they don't want to be known for selling junk.

Internet only sellers can change names and "locations", also have less overhead, so can sell at cheaper prices but also cheaper goods, no long lasting REP needed, they sell strictly on price.

Nothing wrong with cheap, but you are kind of answering your own question by asking it :)

 

When it comes to suspension and steering parts going with the cheapest brand doesnt seem like a good idea to me. Personally im going to go with the well known good reputation company like Moog, Motorcraft, ACDelco, etc.

The last thing i want to happen is a suspension or steering part break when traveling down the interstate doing 75mph.
