Soft Topper Foldable Bed Shell

About a week ago I recieved my Soft Topper for the truck. I have to say I think its genius! Basically, its a bed topper for the bed of the truck, only its made of a foldable aluminum frame and a very durable and thick tent like material- extreamly lightweight. We bought it to travel with so we could sleep in the bed on our drive from AK to IN, but we also needed to be able to haul furniture, etc. from time to time. Its still about $530, but works great- 30 min install(no drill, my wife helped out so its super easy) and about 5min to put up or down when needed. If $1300 for a topper is way to much and you need easy access to the bed, I urge all of you to check out Softopper.com

If you have problems getting directly to the website, search for soft topper and put extra words like truck in the search.

He was saying his frame is aluminum and the shell is canvas.

Those look pretty nice. I wish I had a reason to get one other than the looks.

Yeah that one is exactly like mine. The other day I went Safari style with all of the sides rolled up. I thought it was cool but everyone looked at me like I was an idiot. LOL

Nice they even make em for step-sides...

Anyone got one for a step-side to sell used?? I can't see parting with $500 for that.

If it's winter i'd recommend a space heater. And a relatively big one(because my lil one didnt get the job done). I spent a night or two in canada freezin my *** off cause i got lazy and brought my 0 degree sleeping bag instead of my -30 mummy bag.

There's a guy around here that has one on his F-350... black, raised, big tires, push bar or similar up front with lights... he keeps his sides rolled up too like you were sayin.... kinda reminds me of an army truck or something. Should look coo... have a fun trip.

Does it fold down at all? If so do you have any pictures of it?

yeah, it folds down towards the cab of the truck. it comes with squared tubes (that have male snaps) and they get clamped onto the bed. Then the actual tent like shell has female snaps that snap to the tubes to secure it. It works great on the highway. When you want to put the sides up or the whole thing down just unsnap and fold!
Ill try to update my pic with it on there.
