Not a good thing.....lots o' pics.

I shoulda hit the damn dog.

Swerved to miss a dog, over corrected and hit a concrete barrier, and the rest is kind of a blur. Didn't get home till 5:00am, and I'm still in shock over the whole thing. I hope they don't total it. I think I'm gonna go throw up now.

glad that youre okay, that looks like one hell of a crash

im sure youll hear this a lot but first rule is to never swerve from a deer or other animal....

bad news is that will be totaled... a lot of body pannel damage as well as the front suspension is gone, doesnt look good...

Yeah, I'm ok. I usually do hit the dog in a case like this, but he walked out into the light of the HIDs, and I reacted.

oh that is messed up, I would want to throw up too, I know the feeling.
glad your okay though. I would try to avoid hitting a dog, but when it comes to my truck
and or the safety of me and my passengers..sorry dog. but sometimes things happen so
fast its hard to make that decision, and you just react, like you said.

What if there is an elephant or hippo in the road?

You should say any animal smaller than your vehicle.

Sucks about the truck... hopefully you can get it fixed up.

I like the way you think.

Been looking at it more. Pretty sure its gonna be totaled. Cab appears to be twisted slightly, and the whole bottom side is shredded. It doesn't look like the DJM arms are bent, even though the ball joints separated and the spindle broke. I'll have to see how much they let me take off it, see what is salvageable.

Concrete walls are bad ****. I ripped the back wheel off mine, and almost ripped the front wheel off when I fell asleep and hit the wall. Insurance didn't total it because they didn't find all the damage that the body shop and alignment shop found later.

Glad to hear you are okay tho.

That sucks man! I always swerve to miss animals as well out of instinct, although I know you're normally better off not doing that. I got my F150 sideways a few weeks ago coming around a tight corner on a rainy day when two dogs ran out in front of me. Got it straightened up just as a car came by in the other lane.

Hopefully they fix it up for you. Although if it is NOT totaled, the truck isn't going to be worth as much with an accident history. I was actually glad when they totaled our Jetta because I figured it wouldn't be worth much after the wreck.
