New to me ranger!

New to me ranger!

Picked me up a new to me ranger for $1500. Talked him down from 2400. It failed inspection cause of a exhaust leak at the driver front manifold. Simple fix.
3.0 244K miles, no signs of leakages, no smoking, new leaf shackles on driver side.
Oh did I mention its a 4x4. So I plan on keeping my old truck for parts, the engine has 170K, pull it and rebuild it for another 100K and swap it out if I end up having any problems with this one. Swapping tires, going to do some touch ups and what not.
Body is in great shape, some dings and chips but much better shape than what my ranger was in when I bought it.

1994. Same exact truck inside and out that I have now just a 4x4.

Yeah, it is. Drove just fine the 30 mile trip.
I have ever intention of pulling my old 3.0, checking the heads and doing an over haul and storing it until its needed.
The truck looks like it's been well maintained, the only problems so far are possibly a bad coolant temp sensor(gauge doesn't work), and dip stick tube is rotted at the top, and the exhaust leak which is an easy fix, just gonna slap some sealer on the spot and throw it through inspection again, then fix it when I get time.

Sad news. It's the most basic 4x4 model. 7.5 open rear and a dana 35 hybrid front(dana 28 guts)
I guess if I ever kill the engine I will look into a SAS swap, but for now it will do.

what you got against 35 hybrids and 7.5 rear ends.... if you respect it, it will respect treat you just fine.

Nothing. I had intentions of a lift and bigger tires like 33 or 35s. But 31s are the max for dana 35 hybrids.
I still need to pull the plug and actually see if I can see the carrier or not, thats the sure way of knowing. But it doesn't have the structual ribs like a true 35 does.

do you have heat? when i bought my 97 i noticed my temp gauge didnt work either and i didnt have heat so i talked to my dad about it and he said change the thermostat. After i did that i didnt have a problem with my temp gauge, so give that a shot
