89 ranger door questions

hey everyone. my problem is that on my 89, the doors don't latch good. i mean the doors wont come open, till you pull the lever, but going down the highway, you can see, and hear them moving. i don't know where to tighten, or what bolts to work on that secures the doors to where they wont be loose. if you have had the same problem, and resolved it, or just know whats wrong, please email me when convenient. Thanks!

I had this problem in my last truck and the door strikers were wore out. They are the torx bolt that is held onto the body that the door latch kits when you close the door. There normally is a plastic bushing around the bolt the deaden the sound and stop the rattle. Make sure the bushing is still there and not worn out. You can usually even pick up new strikers at a parts store, they aren't always vehicle specific.

A simple fix take an old garden hose cut to length and cut down the middle and put on your strikers works like a charm! Just make sure the split is facing the INSIDE of the truck.
