Another opinion on new to me truck

While certainly not as exciting a roof plow truck, I'm going to look at a another ranger this weekend.

A little more mainstream, it is a 2006 ex-cab 4x4 with the 4.0 and 80,000 miles. The seller reports new tires were just put on. How much do you think I'll be able to talk them down?

Any ideas what a fair value would be to trade in my truck for? It is as listed in my signature with 130,000 miles and a damaged/rebuilt title.

Thanks!

Being rebuilt title i'd say you wont get a whole lot on trade in, you could probly get more selling it private party. You might be able to talk them down to $9000, but thats not a bad price imho.

Exactly. I see tons of nice Rangers that I could swing but I know that I will be happier finding a really good deal that might need like something stupid like a fuel pump and a week later be driving around in a 10k Ranger that I got for like 5-6k.

blue onyx? wtf?!?!?!
the tailgate looks dented like crazy, also it looks odd for some reason. i thought xlts came with power options. it has crank windows and manual locks.

Yea, it seems optioned more like a sport than an XLT. I'm going to look at it tomorrow. I don't mind lack of options, I just want to have something that does not need $2000 of work to last another year (like my current truck!).

With a rebuilt title I think it knocks off 40% of value. So you're probably looking at 2500 trade in.
