Was doing some goofin around on youtube, came across a bunch of 4bt swaps in Rangers. Sounds pretty badass, better than a 302 swap.

From what I was reading with the diesel motor you've gotta replace your axles?

Anyone ever done a 4bt swap?

 

There is a site for 4bt swaps and there are a couple rangers on there. But as far as I know there are no current members with ti.

 

It may be better than a 302 swap, but its waaaay more exppensive and requires alot of modification and fab.

I looked into it and decided on the 5.0l, but if youre looking into it. Bread trucks have 4bts.

 

I've thought about it. I want to do either a 302 or 4BT swap when the 3.0 blows up. I think 302 would be easier but I'm in the diesel class at the local HS tech center so it would be an interesting project if I do it before I graduate.

 

I came across the site 4btswaps.com. It had a ranger in it with the swap. I think it would be pretty bad*ss to have a cummins in a ranger.
