Front Shocks Are Too Short - 99 Ranger Ext Cab XLT Sport 2x4

Help! I am pulling my hair out in total frustration. I can't find front shocks that fit.

I have a stock suspension and according to Monroe's website the front shocks specified are 1-1.75" too short. The recommended replacement shock is a Monroe Sensa-Trac 37153 with the following specifications.

Compressed Length 10.500"
Extended Length 13.500"
Travel Length 3.000"

My truck is a Sport and am wondering if that has anything to do with my problem? I don't know what the differences are between a Sport and normal XLT but I do see what looks like a 1" lift block in the rear but nothing unusual in the front.

Can anyone please help?

There is not difference suspension wise between your '99 Sport compared to a '99 XLT or '99 XL, so long they're all for a 2wd. A 98-00 2wd Sport should not have factory blocks out back

Is your truck coil-sprung? It could be possible the wrong shock was placed in the right box. It's a pretty specific mounting ends on the Ranger shock....having one too short is really really odd. Maybe your truck has coil-spacers or lift coils up front....hence having rear lift blocks from a previous owner.
