Tired of changing out my broken driving lights on a 2001 Edge

I have replaced the lower driving lights on my 2001 Edge a few times now .. Seems like its every year they get broken from all the flying gravel and rock on the roads .. Anyone else have better luck with a different type other then OEM?
Led? Halogen? What ever as long as Im not changing them out every year .. THanks

I have had my EDGE for about 6 years without a broken light, funny.

Almost any light will break if you have that much gravel and stones on your roads.

No idea what type,to get, just get a good stone shield.

2001 Edge looks to have recesses driving lights, prime candidate for plexiglass shields.
You would have to make them but shouldn't be to expensive.
3 mounting points inside each recess, then round plexiglass shields mounted to those.
Get 4 pieces cut, for 2 spares.

I've had my '03 since 2009 I think... only time those light break on me is when I try to replace the bulb and I forget how to remove the bulb. I try to unscrew the housing and something breaks.
