Aux tank fuel line help

Hey all I have a 76 highboy and the PO disconnected the aux fuel tank from the little three prong 'tree' type fuel pump on the frame rail (drivers side toward the rear of the cab). Its the 360 4spd. The main tank (behind the seat) is just connected with about a 5 inch fuel hose directly into the metal fuel mani that runs up to the canister, then the carb.

I don't see any other fuel manis that aren't connected... and the PO couldn't remember how it was hooked up. My Chiltons manual is useless and I can't seem to find any diagrams or info. The only hose I currently have attached to this little pump is the hose that runs to the aux tank. I still have two open nipples.

Does anyone have a pic of the fuel lines and how they are connected? Or a better description? Thanks

It isn't a pump, it is a solenoid valve, 2 IN and 1 OUT, 12volts on selects one hose, 12volts off selects the other hose.

universal version pictured here

So both tank's hoses are hooked up to this valve then fuel line to engine is hooked up

There will be a switch on the dash that either sends 12volts to the valve or doesn't, with key on only, not 12volts 24/7, that will run down your battery

These dash board switches usually have the fuel gauge sending unit wires from each tank passing thru them so gauge changes when tank is switched
