Herculiner vs. Line- x?

I have recently purchased on '03 XLT Ranger with no bedliner. I've read up on reviews and videos of both herculiner and line x. I am wondering if anyone can offer any advice on the durability herculiner offers compared to line x. I realized there is a huge price difference, but the trade off is elbow grease and attention to detail.

I work commercial construction in the summers, and have recently been using my ranger to haul metal and drywall. Would herculiner stand up to these materail as well as line x would? Any advice would help. Thanks!

I don't know very much about Herculiner but I doubt very much that it would come even close to the durability of Line-X. Line-X is a two part urethane that cures to a relatively hard, very wear resistant coating. I have developed urethane wear resistant coatings for the aerospace industry and can tell you that a one part coating will not stand up to wear as well as a good two part urethane.

Herculiner has a proprietary polyurethane and rubber formula, Line-X has the two part urethane coating. Herculiner is easy to do yourself, and its alot cheaper than getting a sprayed job done for upwards of $600. And, if the Herculiner does peel or crack, you can go buy a cheap quart and do the repairs yourself.

Line-X is a lot better in terms of durability and looks. The only con is the cost.

Ive had Line-X in mine since 2010. Held up great. Just whatever you use try to get the bed bolts up and out of the floor along with any tie down hooks in the bed and reinstall them when you're done. Makes life much easier later on if you ever have to pull the bed for a fuel pump or whatever.

I got mine loose and the Line-X place pulled them out before spraying and reinstalled after. I also had them do over the top bedrails, down the bottom inside lip of the tailgate, and the back lower part of the bed thats behind the tailgate bottom. Been happy with it. Theres a lifetime warranty with it so if you tear it up somehow just bring it back and they'll fix. Its expensive though....I think it was about $500ish for mine back then.
