A week and a half after i bought my used truck the transmission went. Would the transmission be the same on a Mazda truck? I found a transmission from a Mazda B2500 and would like to put it in my 2000 Ranger.

 

Manual or automatic?

If Manual then yes they used same transmission.

Ranger 2.5l used the 4R44E automatic from 1998 to 2001, 2.3l Ranger from 1995 to 1997, it will work as well., not 2001 and up 2.3l

Mazda B2500 should be the same should is the key word there, what year is the trans from?

 

Sorry, should have put more info. The donor car is a 2000 B2500 auto. So same year and engine as mine.

Also, I read Ford built the B2500. Would almost all parts be interchangeable?
