So my trucks heater valve broke the other day and I replaced it then I refilled my resovior but forgot to refill radiator so when I drove down the road my truck overheated and shut off after making a weird sound for a couple minutes after filling the radiator now it doesn't want to fire I get a little bit of firing when I try to crank it with my foot on the gas but other than that it doesn't seem to fire

 

How long was the truck running without coolant?

 

It was about 10 to 15 minutes that I was driving like that before it completely shut off

 

Others with more experience will likely chime in, but i'd be surprised if you haven't cracked the heads completely. I don't think you will have got away with running so long without coolant, it's very likely fcuked.
