Icon5 Firing order for 2002 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6

Hi, I'm new to this site. I'm in need of some advice regarding my '02 Ranger 4.0 v6. I recently did a valve cover gasket and spark plugs on my truck. However when I put the park plugs wires, new coil pack on, and assembled it I believe I may have messed up the firing order of the wiring. It has been running rough since (didn't run roughly before). I haven't been able to find any kind of diagram for a 4.0 v6. I am no mechanic so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Thanks so much! The diagram you sent me in the middle is for the 3.0 v6. I could somewhat see the 4.0 v6 in the corner, but I'm not sure which side the (A) connector is on the coil pack

Yes

3 4
2 6
1 5
Front

The 5 6 4 side often gets mis-wired

1 2 3 is pretty straight forward, lol.

Ford cylinders on a V6 engine are numbered
3 6
2 5
1 4

Thanks. It's confusing me because the factory wires I pulled out of it we're wired from front of engine to back: 1,2,3 on drivers side. 4,5,6 on passenger side. Which is the opposite of what you are telling me. How my wires (by number) we're set up:
6 3
5 2
4 1
