Will not start
Will not start
Motor will spin over but will not crank. I have put a new coil I have checked I do have 12 V at the descriptor and at coil. New spark plug wires. Rotor and Cap look to be good cannot get any Spark from coil. Also do not have control voltage going to your fuel pump relay I have to use jumper wire instead of rely to build fuel pressure which is 45 psi
PS this is not my truck this is a friend of mine it is a 1995 Ford Ranger with a 3.0 V6 I have checked all fuses they all seem to be good

Welcome to the forum
Not a 1995 Ranger, only 1994 and older have distributors, 1995 and up 3.0l used the newer computer model and were distributorless
So assume 1994 running gear and wiring
In engine fuse box
Check fuse #4, 30amp, PCM relay powers fuel injectors
Fuse #22, 20amp, powers fuel pump
Fuse #1, 60amp, powers distributor and coil via ignition switch
The spark system used is self contained, doesn't need computer or anything else, except power to work.
Have you done 50/50 test
Spray fuel into the intake and crank the engine
If it starts and dies then fuel is the problem
If it doesn't start then spark is the problem
Simple and quick
NEVER trust spark testers or fuel pressure, do 50/50 test always, with a crank no start

Have you fixed the problem ?
Dead Battery,Failed Ignition Switch,Bad Ford Ranger Starter,Clogged Fuel Delivery and No Spark are the top 5 reasons why your friend ranger won't start.
You could test by jump-starting your friend's ford ranger. If it works,he's most likely having a dying battery. What he should do is removing and cleaning the terminals. Then fully charge the battery and have it load tested. After check the battery and confirm it's good, then you could turn on your headlights and dashboard. If they turn on,but the car doesn't turn over, there is likely to be a failed ignition switch.Hope it works for you.
