01 Ford Ranger

Recently my mechanic found out my truck has a cylinder number 3 misfire, I added sea foam and three days later it died. It would only jump to my dad's 94 chevy but my RPMs run high, not to mention I've tried three different types of fuel injector cleaners and nothing helps the old truck. I'm running out of ideas to keep it running and to get my gas mileage back (even tried Lucas high Mileage fuel injector cleaner). Typically I can drive 100 miles before getting to 3/4th of a tank and I've only gone 60 miles and I'm at 3/4th of a tank. Any recommendations or anyone know what is going on with this truck I'm on my last straw with this truck.

Engine type: 4 cylinder
Miles: 212,800 miles
Manuel
No Engine Light
Battery and Alternator checks out
Spark plugs and Coil checks out

Welcome to the forum

2001 Ranger had 2 different 4cyl engine options, only in 2001

The 2.5l SOHC, 8 spark plug, Lima engine
OR
The 2.3l DOHC, 4 spark plug, Duratec engine

Which do you have?

It matters

Battery should read 12.3v to 12.8v engine OFF
Battery should read 13.5v-14.5v engine ON
What were your numbers?
