Icon5 Every once in awhile my blinkers don't blink.

2011 Ranger Sport, 4.0 Manual
I cannot pinpoint why this happens but every so often my blinkers don't work and that includes the emergency flashers. One time I thought it might be weather but it has done it when hot outside, cold, wet or dry.
Is there something like a wire/connection somewhere that might be loose or is this a switch of some sort that can go faulty?
TIA

Just saw the lower threads on this so either a bad 4-way switch or steering column, I always have mine in the lowest position...So next time it happens I'll try moving the steering column to eliminate that step to see if it's the switch.

Turn and 4-ways use same flasher unit

And multi-function switch(turn signal stalk) is also a common cross-over point for both

Yes, if tilt steering try moving it when it happens again, that would denote wiring issue on the multi-function switch, or the switch itself
