I’ve got an 01 Ranger and the turn signals won’t start working at first unless I turn my hazards on and then back off. I just replaced the multifunction switch and fixed the loose wiring to the best of my knowledge. What could be the reason for this?

 

Replace the flasher, its under drivers side of dash usually blue square

Thats Relay Box 1, above gas pedal

But it can be on its own between steering column and door, clipped to metal cross bar
