So I just bought a 1996 Ford Ranger 3.0L. This is my first Ford Ranger I bought it as a daily driver to save on fuel and I’m currently trying to get it fixed up to drive. While I was flushing out the heater core to fix the heat I looked over and noticed my A/C Compressor doesn’t have a pulley on it and doesn’t look like I can put one on, I was looking online and saw the A/C compressor delete belt it appears I have that belt on there now and it looks like my Ranger does not come equipped with A/C. Is this a common thing for this year or is it just my truck if so I’d like some more info about this and how to fix it with spring and summer approaching.

They came with or without AC, but no compressor would be there if it came without AC, thats one of the more expensive parts of the system, lol

If you have an AC setting on Cab climate control then this Ranger came with AC, previous owner may have deleted it because it needed repair
