01 to 06 Drive train swap?
01 to 06 Drive train swap?
01 3L has 90k, hit a deer, ins had us salvage the title but it's drivable, just not legally. How difficult is an engine+tyranny swap to my 06 2.3L? Both reg cab auto. XL models
It would be a hard swap, and not a good swap
The engine/trans is doable, just some cutting and maybe welding
Problem is in the computer swap over, in 2004 Ford changed Rangers over to HEC digital dash system so it won't be able to work with a 2003 or older computer, totally different cab wiring
Better off selling the 2001 3.0l drive train and then using that money to fix the 2006 2.3l Ranger
The 2.3l Duratec engine in a 2006 is actually rated with more power than the 3.0l Vulcan engine
2.3l Duratec has 178HP
3.0l Vulcan 150HP
The V6 Vulcan did have more torque
