Should I get a 04 Ranger?
Welcome to the forum
Pickup truck prices very widely by location
Miles are a bit scary, 84k after 17 years is just under 5,000 miles a year, so it has been sitting ALOT
Many like low miles, I have just been burned a few times with them, lol
But if the fluids look good and its NOT a rebuilt title and it drives OK then go for
A good deal is what YOU THINK is a good deal

The 2004 TSB about engine heads were only for the 3.0l V6, not the 4.0l

If you get this 2004 Ranger with the 4.0l SOHC engine then plan on replacing the 2 long timing chain tensioners, not hard to do
These should be changed every 100k miles but at 84k I would just do it now if you buy it, downside is having to pull the engine out if rear timing chain tensioner fails, so BIG downside, lol
