Best Sounding Exhaust

I'm planning on getting some exhaust for my truck next month, but I didn't want to rush into things and get a system that didn't sound right with the V6. I know there are plenty of others out there at this site that have put exhaust systems on their V6 Rangers, so in your guys' opinion, what would sound the best with my truck? Anybody have any sound clips?

I'd say catback magnaflow, or gibson with straight pipes. You'll never be able to make it sound like a V-8, but I think these exhaust systems give it a bit of a better tone

magnaflow all the way, great tone but not too loud. im not a fan of dumped pipes or flowmasters, esp on a clean truck like yours. did you ever lower it any?

If u want performance then get magnaflow. If you want sound then get a FLowmaster Original 40 Series. And if u want a loud(not as loud as the flow) and good performance muffler then go w/ Borla(but u will pay up the ***) If anyone says a mag is as loud or deep as a flow then ur full of it

well

I'm still in the process of lowering it. It's been hard to find a suitable drop for the Edge model though. Airbag suspension will eventually take care of everything though.

Check out my pics in the "show your exhaust" thread to see my new exhaust, a dumped Flowmaster 40. SoundPer4mance would HATE my exhaust set-up LOL.

I have a Magnaflow 2.5" SI/2.5" DO with 3" Magnaflow Tips. There's a sound clip in my signature. When the clip was taken, it was only 3 days after I had it put on. Now that the packing in the muffler is starting to settle, its rumbling a lot more. I'll get a new clip tomorrow for you.

I would use no larger then 2.5". But thats just me. Anything bigger would hurt performance due to less backpressure. I think. lol

2.5 in, 2.5 out with a single exit, 2.25 out with duals.
