94 2.3 crank no start
94 2.3 crank no start
It suddenly shut down about 50% on the highway and I had to floor it to maintain speed. Then it ran ok for a while and then did it again. Limped it home and it died and wouldn't start. Changed coil packs , cat., fuel pump (bad), ICM (bad), cam sensor and checked timing, belt has less than 100 hours. Could it be a crank sensor, or am I missing something else?

Welcome to the forum
Do 50/50 test
Spray fuel into the intake, gasoline, ether, carb cleaner, ect..........
Try to start engine
If it starts and dies then you have Spark but no fuel, so a fuel delivery problem, fuel pump usually
If it doesn't start/fire, then its a Spark problem, could be ICM
50/50 instant results on where to look
Crank sensor is not likely but possible, engine will just stop running instantly, no slowing down or 50% stuff, spark and fuel are cut off instantly
Turn on the key
CEL(check engine light) should come on, that means computer has booted up
Crank engine over
CEL should go OFF as soon as engine starts to spin, that means computer is getting a Crank sensor timing signal from ICM and crank sensor
