Icon3 Oem maximum tire size 96 ranger

Hello Everyone!
Im from Denmark - and I have managed to acquire a Ford Ranger 1996 XLT Supercab 4.0.. (most awesome truck ever)

Since these cars basically are more rare than a Bugatti here, I have a really hard time finding information - so that's why I am asking you guys!

I have OEM 15 inch wheels.. With tires that are 215/75r15.

I want the biggest tires I can get on them - Example: Ko2 Goodrich 265/75/r15.
But I can't figure out if they could fit the tires?

So my question is: What is the biggest tire I can fit on these?

Thank you so much in advance, and im sorry for (maybe) bad written English.

- Regards, a Dane living the american lifestyle..
Anton

Welcome to the forum

15" wheels can be used with any R15 tires

Tire overall diameter is what decides if it fits without rubbing

Stock 1996 Ranger tires sizes seen here: https://tiresize.com/tires/Ford/Ranger/1996/

4x4 Rangers were 1.5" to 2" higher so could use larger diameter tires

If you click on the tire sizes on above page it will tell you the diameter
4x4 usually had 29" diameter tires
2WD 27" tires

265/75/r15 are 30.6" diameter, which should fit on a 4x4 Ranger, might rub on a 2WD Ranger
