2008 Ranger key fobs stopped working
Took my 2008 Ranger in to the dealership to replace drivers side airbag. When I got home, my key fob wasn't working. Tried the spare. That one wasn't working either (it did before). Since then, I've replaced the batteries. Didn't help. I can get into program mode where the door locks cycle. Still can't get either fob to work. What I do see after entering program mode and pressing a fob button is the light on the fob flashes, as do the hazard lights. Anyone have an idea what to do next? I contacted the dealership. They are more than happy to look at this for $$$
The Keyless Entry system is part of the SJB(smart junction box) in 2004-2011 Rangers, so not a separate module like 2003 and earlier
I don't see a separate fuse for it
You may want to try unhooking 1 battery cable for 5 min, then hooking it back up this will reset all electronics and its FREE to try, lol

Hey Ranger480. I bought my Ranger used, from a Honda dealer. It came with 3 fobs. 1 was original. That one was damaged some time back. The 2 remaining do not appear to be Ford. But, they have both worked perfect until recently. Both failed at the same time.
