Stolen parts. Any help appreciated

Hi All

Greetings from the UK! This is my first post, and would appreciate any help you could provide.

I have a Ford Ranger Thunder 2021 UK Right Hand drive model. I Got into the vehicle this morning and there are multiple warning lights on the dashboard that Power Steering, traction control etc have failed and the vehicle needs servicing. I then realised looking under the Truck that something has been stolen overnight. I have attached pictures of the plate that has been removed from the chassis and the space where the item was.

I have searched the internet for a couple of hours and also purchased a service manual, but cannot find out what the parts are that have been removed, i am unable to get the Truck to a garage in its current state (with no Power Steering its like trying to manoeuvre a tank). I use the Truck for work so this is a nightmare. If someone could just let me know what they think has been removed that would be a great help. I am really stuck at the moment.

Thanks in advance
Anthony

Looks like they stole the electric motor for the rack and pinion. Can't tell you if that's the exact name of the part, but that's essentially what it is, and that is why you lack power steering because you are missing the electric motor's assistance.

Thank you for coming back. It turns out you cannot purchase just this part from Ford in the UK and have to purchase the whole steering rack including this motor for over £2000. Crazy money. I'm going to have to try and find one in a salvage yard instead.

Thanks again.

Yikes, that's quite costly. Could be why yours was stolen, as I can't imagine they would be that valuable like the precious metals in a catalytic converter.

That is horrendous. I've heard people getting their catalytic converters stolen but this? I'm sorry, man. Get a paint ball gun and watch your truck.
