So, i've officially lost all access to my horn, power locks, and keyfob uses. I figured it was a problem with the CSM module, which was behind the passenger airbag (white box). After further diagnostic, I smelled something had burnt up. I'm guessing it was the horn relay or something internal, not too sure. All wires connecting to the module look fine, none burnt up. So, I ordered another module off ebay. Same exact connectors, boards look identical. Plugged it in, and nothing. Unplugged battery, let sit overnight, replugged battery, nothing. Even after trying to use the switches on the doors for lock, nothing works still. Do I have to take it to a ford dealership to get reprogrammed for it to work again? or am I missing something?

Horn should still work Via steering wheel buttons, CSM can "honk" the horn but not stop it from honking

Yes, door lock/unlock is all in the CSM, buttons on doors go thru CSM
Door lock wiring seen below, check those fuses, pull them out, test fuse holder for 12volts
Fuse 8 and 33 in Engine fuse box, power CSM full time and the door locks, test those wires on CSM connector if fuses are OK
Fuse 11 in cab fuse box just makes CSM "aware" key is on, also used in programming

Test GROUND wire on CSM connector, there is no 12volts unless there is also 0 volts(ground/battery negative connection)

Yes, you have to reprogram new CSM for the Fobs you have, but door lock buttons should still work
