Key Programming
First thing when I look at threads concerning key programming, I'm not seeing the whole thread just a couple lines followed by...... I know if I have 2 keys already programmed, I can make a third and a forth etc. I have two keys programmed right now but they are cut for my existing ignition that somebody stole my third key for. Can I pull out the existing ignition disassemble it and remove the pins and springs and reassemble it put it back into the truck, now any key even a blank would fit, and I should be able to program the two new keys cut for the new ignition? Am I correct or am I forgetting something? Maybe I should do this in the parking lot of a lock smith just in case.
Sounds good to me, BUT only if your 2 original keys are not clones.
Wouldn't it have been cheaper just to get a new key or 2 cut to fit your current tumbler and program them?
When you reprogram the PATS, any key that is not used at the time of programming will no longer work, so at that time your missing/lost/stolen key would no longer work.

You have CLONE keys and one original so no, you can't add more new PATS keys yourself
You have a PATS system
In the handle of each key is an RFID tag with an 80bit number, each Factory key's number is programmed into the PATS units memory, usually 3 or 4 keys with new vehicle
When key is put into ignition and turned on, the PATS unit "reads" that number and compares it to the 3 or 4 numbers in its memory
If a match is found then engine can be started
If no match then no start and flashing "THEFT" light on the dash
PATS keys can be duplicated by using fully BLANK keys, they have a Blank RFID tag in the handle, no number, and are un-cut
A duplicating machine(RFID tag reader/writer) can read the original key's tag number, save it, then write that same number to the Blank RFID tag, and then key can be cut to match the lock
This is called Cloning a key
So all 3 of your keys had the same tag number, to PATS they are one key, because they have the same number
To add new keys you need 2 keys with different numbers, that are already programmed into PATS memory, then you can add a 3rd or 4th New number to the system
But you can always have more Clone keys made, as long as the 80bit number can be read from one of your current keys then it can be put on(written to) another RFID tag on another key

I have two programmed keys for my existing tumbler and the third key someone stole, so they can start my truck, so that ignition will go in the trash. I just want to utilize it to program the two keys cut to my new ignition by removing the pins from it.
What about the door locks, "they" can still unlock the doors
You can buy "lock sets", 2 door locks and 1 ignition lock with 2 new keys
You can use Forscan software to program new keys, Forscan is like an OBD2 reader on steroids, lol, can do lots of things
There is a Forscan forum with how-tos
You would erase all past programmed keys and then add the 2 new ones, so old keys wouldn't work to start engine
Most Locksmiths can do this as well, they come out to the truck and hook up their laptop, erase and then add new keys via the OBD2 plug-in

2007 Rangers don't use PATS, I had to rekey my apartment and the truck, I had already completed the door locks, and removing the pins from the compromised ignition and reinstalling it into the truck works great, that ball bearing in the ignition is the toughest part, the keys were programmed in five minutes. Then I put the new ignition in and now the whole truck is rekeyed. I bought a 2007 Ford Ranger Wiring Diagrams, Ford uses to troubleshoot electrical problems. I like All Data but the pictures of locations in the book are so much clearer than All Data
