1998 Ranger XLT 4x2 lights

Good evening, just drove my 98 manual xlt cross country and it did great, on the last stretch, had it on cruise control, and cruise control cut out, all dash lights went out then, I assume, hard to see in the daylight. Got back to speed, reengaged cruise control, no problems. Parked it and thought not much of it. Got back in to go grab some food as the sun was going down, no dash lights, no head lights, no tail lights. Hi beams work, brake lights work. Where I’m at right now, I don’t have any of my tools with me(fuse tester, screwdrivers) Anything easy I should check first? I should have some time tomorrow evening to look at everything

Welcome to the forum

Only thing headlights, park lights and dash lights have in common is the Headlight switch

2 different fuses, and one is OK if "Flash to Pass" works, thats not high beams, but uses high beam fuse
Fuse 12 in engine bay fuse box, 30amp is for headlights and Flash to pass

Fuse 11 in engine bay fuse box, 15amp, is for Park lights and dash lights

Headlight power runs thru multi-function switch, but not Park or Dash lights

Park and dash lights run thru Headlight switch
As does headlight power

So that's where I would start, could be loose connector
