06 ranger 4.0, four-wheel-drive no intermitting wipers only low and high, I have changed the multi function switch, same problem.

Cruise control turns on, but does not catch or seem to work.

Remove passenger side kick panel to expose the SJB(smart junction box) it is the Body "computer" and runs all the cab electrics, SJB replaced the GEM module in 2004

It has 4 larger connectors, they have a lever you can pull up which lifts them up away from the SJB so they can be removed all the way
Check each for corrosion on pins and slots
Do each one and put it back on, cleaning as needed, this removal and replacement cleans all the contacts
See if the electrics work again
